Triple Chocolate Banana Bread is a rich, moist loaf made with ripe bananas and loaded with cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and chunks for an indulgent treat that’s perfect for dessert or snacking.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chunks (or chopped dark chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar until combined.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in semisweet chips, milk chocolate chips, and dark chocolate chunks.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture.
  • Feel free to substitute any type of chocolate to your liking.
  • Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for longer storage.
