These grilled turkey burgers are juicy, flavorful, and healthier than your average burger. Made with lean ground turkey and simple seasonings, they’re perfect for a summer cookout or a quick weeknight dinner. Top them with your favorite fixings and serve on a toasted bun!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey (93% lean recommended)

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)

To Serve:

  • 4 burger buns

  • Lettuce, tomato, onion slices, pickles

  • Cheese slices (optional)

  • Ketchup, mustard, or mayo

Instructions

  • Make the burger mix: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—don’t overwork the meat.

  • Form patties: Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.

  • Preheat grill: Heat grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.

  • Grill burgers: Place patties on the grill and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  • Toast buns (optional): Lightly toast the buns on the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden.

  • Assemble: Serve turkey burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.

Notes

  • Add a tablespoon of grated onion or chopped parsley to the mix for extra moisture and flavor.

  • Avoid pressing down on the burgers while grilling to keep them juicy.

  • These freeze well—shape and freeze raw patties for later grilling.
