These Valentine Peanut Butter Cups are a fun twist on the classic candy, made with rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter, and decorated for the holiday with festive sprinkles or heart-shaped molds. They’re easy to make, no baking required, and way better than store-bought!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chocolate Layer:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

For the Peanut Butter Filling:

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

  • Pinch of salt

Optional Decorations:

  • Heart-shaped silicone molds or mini cupcake liners

  • Valentine sprinkles, freeze-dried strawberries, or pink sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners or use heart-shaped silicone molds.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  3. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into the bottom of each mold. Tilt or tap to evenly coat the base. Freeze for 10 minutes.

  4. In another bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

  5. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the peanut butter mixture onto the set chocolate base and flatten slightly.

  6. Cover with more melted chocolate, making sure the filling is sealed in.

  7. Add sprinkles or decorations on top while chocolate is still soft.

  8. Chill in the freezer for 15–20 minutes until firm.

  9. Store in the fridge and enjoy cold for best texture.

Notes

  • Use almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a different flavor or nut-free option.

  • Want them pink? Add a swirl of beet powder or freeze-dried strawberry powder to the filling!

  • Use white chocolate for a pretty color contrast.
