This Valentine Popcorn is a sweet and salty treat that’s perfect for celebrating love! Made with fluffy popcorn, drizzled with pink and white chocolate, and sprinkled with festive candies, it’s an easy snack for parties, gifts, or a cozy movie night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
  • 1 cup white chocolate or white candy melts
  • 1/2 cup pink candy melts
  • 1/4 cup red candy melts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Valentine’s-themed sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup candy-coated chocolates (e.g., M&Ms or Smarties)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Popcorn:

  1. Pop the popcorn and spread it out on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels.

2. Melt the Chocolate:

  1. In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the white chocolate and candy melts in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

3. Drizzle and Toss:

  1. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the popcorn, using a spoon or piping bag. Toss gently to coat the popcorn evenly.
  2. Drizzle the pink (and red, if using) melted candy over the popcorn for a festive look.

4. Add Toppings:

  1. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the popcorn with Valentine’s-themed sprinkles, candy-coated chocolates, and mini marshmallows. Press lightly to ensure they stick to the melted chocolate.

5. Let Set:

  1. Allow the popcorn to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or place it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to speed up the process.

6. Serve or Store:

  1. Break the popcorn into clusters and serve in a large bowl or divide into individual treat bags for gifting.

Notes

  • Popcorn Type: Use air-popped, stovetop-popped, or microwave popcorn. Avoid heavily buttered popcorn for better coating.
  • Additions: Mix in pretzels, nuts, or dried fruit for extra texture and flavor.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
