This simple Vanilla Icing is sweet, smooth, and perfect for drizzling over cookies, cakes, muffins, or pastries — ready in just minutes with pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk (or water)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, sift the powdered sugar to remove any lumps.
  2. Add vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of milk; whisk until smooth.
  3. If needed, add more milk 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Use immediately to drizzle over baked goods. Icing will set as it dries.

Notes

  • Use heavy cream instead of milk for a richer flavor.
