These Warm Cinnamon Crescent Twists are buttery, flaky, and packed with sweet cinnamon sugar goodness! Made with crescent dough, they come together in just 20 minutes, making them the perfect quick treat for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

For the Twists:

  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Glaze (Optional):

 

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (or heavy cream)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Baking Sheet:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Mixture:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

3. Roll & Fill the Crescent Dough:

  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  2. Press the seams together to form a rectangle.
  3. Brush the dough with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture.

4. Cut & Twist the Dough:

  1. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into 8-10 long strips.
  2. Twist each strip gently, then place on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Bake the Twists:

  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.

6. Make the Glaze & Serve:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle over warm cinnamon twists and enjoy!

 


Notes

  • Extra Crispy? Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
  • No Glaze? Dust with powdered sugar instead.
  • Make Ahead: Store unbaked twists in the fridge for up to 1 day before baking.
  • Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheat in a toaster oven.
