This Winter Fruit Salad is a colorful and refreshing mix of seasonal fruits, paired with a light citrus-honey dressing. It’s perfect for holiday gatherings, brunches, or as a healthy dessert option.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salad:

  • 2 cups pomegranate arils (seeds)
  • 2 oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 pear, diced
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

For the Dressing:

  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the pomegranate arils, orange segments, kiwi slices, diced apple, diced pear, red grapes, and dried cranberries.
  2. Make the dressing:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, orange juice, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Assemble the salad:
    • Drizzle the dressing over the fruit and gently toss to coat. Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Serve:
    • Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately or chill in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Prevent the apple and pear from browning by tossing them in a little lemon juice before adding them to the salad.
  • Add a sprinkle of chopped mint or toasted nuts for extra flavor and texture.
