These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, juicy cubes of steak seared to perfection and coated in a rich garlic butter sauce. Ready in under 20 minutes, they’re perfect as a main dish, appetizer, or even a protein-packed snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs (680g) sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak:

    • Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels for a better sear.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
  2. Sear the Steak:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium-high heat.
    • Add the steak bites in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary). Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter:

    • Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  4. Combine and Serve:

    • Return the steak bites to the pan and toss to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce while cooking the steak.
  • Best served immediately, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the garlic amount based on your preference (more if you’re a garlic lover!).
