These festive Rice Krispie Christmas Puddings are a fun, no-bake holiday treat! Made with chocolate Rice Krispie balls, white chocolate “icing,” and colorful decorations, they’re perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Rice Krispie Balls:

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup milk or dark chocolate chips

For the Decorations:

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (melted)
  • Green and red candies (e.g., M&Ms or mini sugar decorations)
  • Optional: Edible glitter or sprinkles

Instructions

Make the Rice Krispie Balls:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
    • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
    • Quickly fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
  2. Shape the Balls:
    • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then use your hands to shape it into golf-ball-sized spheres. Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray and let them set at room temperature for 20-30 minutes or refrigerate for quicker setting.

Decorate the Puddings:

  1. Add the White “Icing”:
    • Drizzle or spoon melted white chocolate over the top of each Rice Krispie ball to resemble dripping icing.
  2. Add Decorations:
    • While the white chocolate is still wet, decorate the top with green and red candies to mimic holly leaves and berries. Add edible glitter or sprinkles if desired.
  3. Set and Serve:
    • Allow the decorations to set completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use gloves or lightly butter your hands when shaping the balls to prevent sticking.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Substitute dark chocolate for milk chocolate if preferred for a richer flavor.
